| Because
beverage dispensing systems may use hi-pressure CO2 gas as a pressure source and the
equipment may be handled by inexperienced personnel, Tap-Rite has developed its series 740
safety regulators with the following features: The non-adjustable 'shut-down' Safety is built into the body of the regulator where it cannot be removed or easily circumvented. In the event of a failure of the regulator seat, this Safety will respond instantly, isolating the product container from potentially dangerous high pressure. The product container pressure level will not exceed the factory set blow-off of 55-65 PSIG. The non-removable adjusting screw is designed so that when it is turned all the way in the maximum downstream, delivery pressure will not exceed 50 PSIG. Internal relief valve opens whenever delivery pressure exceeds set pressure by 15 PSIG. This feature serves as a warning that the seat or diaphragm may be worn or damaged and should be replaced. Sintered metal flow control filter in the inlet nipple to prevent dirt and other particles from damaging internal regulator parts. Permanent Quad-Ring Seal on the inlet nipple helps eliminate a source of leaks...no need to use a new fibre washer each time tank is changed. Seat assembly is easily replaceable in-field..no need to remove regulator from tank. |

| To
protect dispensing systems each regulator has a built-in relief valve factory set to
relieve at 55-65 PSIG. Tap-Rite secondary regulators are designed to further reduce pressure from a primary regulator to a proper dispensing level. Internal relief valve opens if the delivery pressure exceeds set pressure by 15 PSIG. This serves as a warning that seat and/or diaphragm may be worn and should be replaced. Forged brass body for greater durability. Body has enough mass to serve as a heat sink to help prevent freeze up problems. Outlet fittings feature Tap-Rite's 1600 ball type shut-off. Fits 5/16" I.D. pressure hose. Inlet is designed for 1/4" I.D. pressure tubing. 1/4" hose shut-off outlet fittings also available. To order add -250 to part number. Inlet will be furnished with 1/4" I.D. hose nipple. All models have heavy duty stainless steel wall mounting brackets. Maximum delivery pressure: 50 PSIG. Non-removable adjusting screw limits maximum delivery pressure to 50 PSIG. Front loading seat assembly is easily replaceable in the field. |

PRESSURE SYSTEM FITTINGS
PRESSURE SHUT-OFFS 1600 SERIES
These shut-offs have the following features to insure easy dependable operation:
- All parts that come into contact with CO2 gas are brass or Teflon® for greater corrosion resistance.
- The body is forged brass.
- The ball-type design eliminates both through-leaks and side-leaks.
- Teflon® seats insure easy opening and closing under all conditions.
- Models available for 3/8" or 1/4" I.D. tubing.
- The 1600C has a ball check valve to prevent product back-up.
- Maximum recommended operating pressure: 100 PSI.
