BEER EQUIPMENT
DRAFT BEER LINE
SANITATION
- OBJECTIVE:
- Any beer, when delivered from the brewery should be
in top quality condition.
Great care should therefore be taken to ensure that
this beer is dispensed to the customer maintaining these standards.
All beer, in fact, any drink transfer or dispense
system should be maintained in a sanitary condition.
Dispense lines therefore need periodic cleaning and
sanitizing. The time between cleaning depends on many factors such as:
- Effectiveness of cleaning
- Beer storage temperature
- Beer residence time in lines between servings
- Consumption flow of beer dispensed
It is considered that a minimum of 10 - 14 days to a
maximum of 18 - 21 days is a general guide between cleaning.
